Phil Snider

Phil has been at Brentwood since January of 2003.  A native of Springfield, he and his wife Amanda are the proud parents of three children, Eli, Sam & Lily Grace.  Phil is a graduate of Chicago Theological Seminary, Phillips Theological Seminary & Missouri State University.  Phil's primary responsibilities at Brentwood include teaching, preaching, and congregational care.  He is the co-author with Emily Bowen of Toward a Hopeful Future: Why the Emergent Church is Good News for Mainline Congregations (Pilgrim Press, 2010).  You can learn more about Phil by visiting his blog.

Emily Bowen

Emily has served at Brentwood since October of 2001.  Her primary responsibilities include the cultivation of vibrant, rich expressions of worship, music, and the arts, as well as coordinating social justice efforts and offering oversight to children and youth ministries.  An accomplished singer and musician, Emily has led worship at the last two Disciples of Christ General Assemblies, and was a member of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir.  She holds degrees from Phillips Theological Seminary, Christian Theological Seminary, and Chapman University.   She is the co-author with Phil Snider of Toward a Hopeful Future: Why the Emergent Church is Good News for Mainline Congregations (Pilgrim Press, 2010).

Charlie Bahn

Charlie joined Brentwood's staff in April of 2005 as part-time Minister of Congregational Care.  He leads Brentwood's Stephen Ministry program and focuses on overall pastoral care within the congregation.  Charlie holds degrees from Brite Divinity School , Washington & Lee University and Southeast Missouri State University.

Kourtney Wilson, Children's Ministries Intern

Kourtney directs our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening children's ministries.  She is currently a student at Missouri State University.

Nate Bledsoe, Youth Intern

Nate is a college student planning to be a high school teacher.  He works with Brentwood's middle school and high school youth.

Nathaniel Carroll, The Awakening Band Leader

Nathaniel is an accomplished singer/songwriter who is currently working on his second album (a follow up to "A House By the Highway").  He and Rebecca Schuler are the proud parents of a baby boy, Søren James Carroll.  Nathaniel graduated from Drury University with a degree in English.

Pepper Price, Office Manager

Pepper started working at Brentwood in August 2009, and we'll soon have her bio online!
 

Margene Stueven, Organist - Margene has been the organist at Brentwood since the early 1990s.  A native of Nebraska, she and her husband Bob enjoy spending time dancing and with family.

Heather Doran, Nursery Attendent - Heather began working at Brentwood in the fall of 2006.  Heather is currently studying child development at Missouri State University.

Vickie VanZandt, Custodian - Vickie joined Brentwood's staff in 2006 and does a wonderful job of keeping Brentwood's building ready for all kinds of activities!
